Platanos College in the top 2% in the country for progress
We are delighted to learn that Platanos College is in the top 150 schools in the country based on the government's new School Performance Tables released earlier this month.
Following the introduction of the new headline Progress 8 measure to scrutinise pupils' progress across at least 8 subjects, it indicates that Platanos College pupils achieve on average over half a grade higher in comparison to other pupils across the country at the end of their GCSEs. This places Platanos College in the top 2% of schools nationally based on this measure in our latest set of results in summer 2016.
The school has previously been recognised as a high-performing school by the SSAT Network, the Mayor of London Gold Club and the Sutton Trust.
We are extremely proud that Platanos College has sustained the progress that its pupils make year on year. The achievement is a testament to the high expectations and hard work of both staff and pupils.
