Our Chief Executive Officer, Dr Chun Lok

Dr Lok is currently interim CEO of the Platanos Trust. He has been a long-standing senior executive leader of the Platanos Trust with many years of experience in strategic development, change management and school improvement, including headship and executive roles.

Dr Lok has a track record for leading rapid school improvement, particularly for settings that are under the most challenging circumstances and supporting those most disadvantaged. He is a keen supporter of developing new, aspiring leaders and headteachers and has advised a range of organisations, including the DfE.

His philosophy of education is based on high expectations and aspirations for all, discipline, academic excellence and innovation, all central to ensuring learners are equipped to meet the demands of the modern world.

Our Founding CEO, Ms Judette Tapper CBE 

Ms Tapper was the founding CEO of the Platanos Trust. She was awarded a CBE in 2005 for services to local and national education. She was an inspirational leader, establishig the Platanos Trust family of schools, all with the shared values of community, academic excellence and high aspirations.

Ms Tapper had a national reputation for raising educational attainment and supported a range of partners and schools, including those deemed in special measures, as well as supporting newly appointed headteachers and executive leaders.

Ms Tapper addressed government ministers as well as many leaders of business and industry, advising on educational matters.  Ms Tapper leaves behind a strong educational legacy, having changed the lives of many generations of learners.
